MTS - magnetotelluric sounding method provides information about conductivity of the geological medium. Based on investigation of naturally occurring variable electromagnetic field of the Earth – magnetotelluric field (MT-field). The depth of investigations varies from tens of meters to hundreds of kilometers and depends on bandwidth.
TEM - transient electromagnetic method, based on transient electromagnetic field source with pulse variable field investigation. The most common inductive approach using for high-conductivity ore deposits exploration and prospecting. These may be sulphide and magnetic ores with massive and stringer-porphyry structure. The method is also used for coal, graphite, shungite exploration, geoelectrical mapping of near-surface deposits with higher conductivity.
IP – induced polarization method, based on investigation of the fields, generated by secondary electric charges, that occur in the ground when passing constant or low-frequency (up to 100 Hz) current through it. This method also works in inhomogeneous medium especially in mediums that contain electronically conductive inclusions.
Transient sounding method – transient sounding method in the near zone, based on investigation of transient electromagnetic fields excited in the ground during pulse current commutation in a source. The depth of transient electromagnetic fields penetration to the ground grows as the time since the current cut-off (called transient period) increases. Component electromagnetic field dependence on time reflects conductivity distribution in the geological medium. The depth of investigations varies from the first meters to the first kilometers.
Multi-spacing transient sounding method - multi-spacing profile and areal transient soundings in the near zone from fixed source for investigations of structurally complex medium using 3D-TEM. The method is used in inhomogeneous near-surface during fluid saturation type and oil reservoir permeability research, hydrocarbon deposits localization when searching for ore objects, kimberlites, quartzitic and gold mineralization during solving of geology-engineering tasks, reservoirs monitoring.
